Week one:  Native American Week

Indian art is wrapped in history and tradition. This week is about using our imaginations working with paint, pottery, fiber art, beading and more.

Week two   Jungle week

During this week the student will learn all about the use of color, perspective, textures and patterns to depict wild plants and animals that live in the jungle.

Week three  They only come out at night!

In this fun class, we will create creatures that come out at night by learning how to shade and add values using warm colors and applying Chiarosuco which gives extreme highlights to make a distinct and fun work of art.

Week four:  Desert week

The student will learn to use the warm and cool colors of the dessert along with applying texture to the painting.

Week five:  Ocean week

During this week we will create paintings of things that live in the ocean by using color, texture and diverse surfaces and mediums.

Week 6  Bugs, Birds and butterflies.

Our concentration will be on things that fly with the use of pastels, watercolor and pen and ink to make mixed media works of art.
